FOREST & FLOWERS
Forest & Flowers is a floral and landscape design company based in Batavia, Ohio
Working alongside the founder of this company, I am helping to build their brand from the ground up. Recently, I have completed the logo and business card. Soon, we will develop further brand attributes and physical elements.
understanding the brand
Forest & Flowers is a floral and landscaping brand dedicated to the thoughtful crafting of arrangements and outdoor designs. Based in Batavia, Ohio, the founder sources all materials locally and provides custom services for a wide range of occasions, from weddings and prom to beautifully curated planters that elevate driveways, entryways, and front porches.
She envisioned a brand identity that feels timeless and refined, incorporating classic floral motifs and elegant embellishments to reflect the artistry and care behind her work.

the logo
For the logo, we started by exploring the letter F to represent Forest & Flowers. I chose a serif typeface to capture the classy vibe she was going for. However, I chose a font with thin serifs, in order to achieve the timeless effect she was also aiming for in her brand.
I drew a variety of different flowers in Illustrator to serve as brand elements. We started playing around with including the flowers in the logo. The owner decided that her favorite logo was one that included a singular F with outlined flowers sprouting from the side.

the business card
The business card included a plethora of layout and color decisions. I started but placing the logo on the front side of the card with no text.
From here, I began working on the back of the card. I played around with different fonts, layouts, and colors, attempting to achieve the timeless vibe she was going for.
Eventually, after meeting with the client. We decided on a card with the logo on the front by itself. The back of the card has the brand name, her name, and her points of contact.
From the color variations, she chose a pink on pink business card, as well as a green on green business card. She was excited at the idea of giving the pink card to women and the green card to men. We also made a black and white version to serve as a basic business card for any application.
